Growing up, I always dreamed of having my own garage filled with tools, where I could immerse myself in building and crafting.
When I first arrived at ArtCenter, the most exciting part was the workshop, and it remains my sanctuary. I’m constantly eager to learn new tools, machines, and processes. There's something deeply satisfying about holding a physical model in my hands, examining its surface and curvature. From metal welding to fabric sewing, various forms of handcrafting calm me. I feel a great sense of accomplishment in building something from scratch, rather than relying on modeling or 3D printing. The engineering process itself brings me joy.
Since I don’t have a garage yet, this digital “garage” is where I document the projects I’ve built in class and outside school.
Here’s to the art of old-school prototyping!
